Description
Our Marks 4WD low range gears are 100% Australian made in our own facility’s. Marks 4WD Adaptors manufacture low range reduction gears to suit your Nissan Patrol GR. These gears are manufactured in house at their facility in Melbourne, Australia.
We make three different reduction ratios that suit different vehicle applications and requirements. These gears will suit both automatic and manual vehicles.
24% reduction gears
The 24% reduction gears are the smallest reduction we offer. These are suited to vehicles that only need a slight reduction over standard. As an example, this reduction would suit a vehicle that has enough power to turn tall differential ratios and large tyres in high range but would like to restore low range back to factory ratios. High range is not altered when fitting our low range gears.
43% reduction gears
The 43% reduction gears are our most popular ratio. They are suited to vehicles that perform a combination of slow technical 4WDing through to sand and desert driving. As an example, this reduction gives a manual vehicle about one full gear below where the factory gearing sits. The maximum speed in low range will be the same as fourth gear with standard gearing. High range is not altered when fitting our low range gears.
85% reduction gears
The 85% reduction gears give you the biggest reduction we offer. These are mainly suited to rock crawling vehicles or vehicles that are prone to run away down hill (fitted with an automatic transmission). As an example, this reduction gives a manual vehicle about two full gears below where the factory gearing sat. The maximum speed in low range will be approximately the same as the third gear with standard gearing. The high range is not altered when fitting our low range gears.
Note: To install our gears die grinding of the transfer case is required due to the change in gear diameters.
